Overall PEA Champion Award

This year's Overall PEA Champion is Polly Higgins, a barrister, author and creator of new laws to protect the Earth. Polly has proposed that Ecocide is the missing 5th Crime Against Peace, to sit alongside genocide as an international crime throughout the world.

Arts, Fashion & Music Award

This award honours individuals who have used any form of the arts to raise awareness on environmental issues. It is also for those that have adopted sustainable or ethical practices in producing their art.

We live in a world where pesticides destroy ecosystems, rivers and seas are awash with toxic chemicals and landfills are piled high with non-biodegradable waste. This award honours those whose products and initiatives are putting the health of the planet first.

This category rewards the individual who has come up with the best carbon-saving idea, regardless of whether this idea has already been put into practise or is still in the pipeline.

This category rewards the steps taken by individuals in the business world to deliver goods or services in sustainability-orientated way, demonstrating that financial profit can go hand in hand with respect for people and the planet.

This category honours an individual who has come up with the best new enterprise, venture or business idea that is based around greener thinking.

Car Free Walks provide free walks - free of cars and free of charge. All our walks can be reached using public transport - bus and train, coach and ferry.

Schools Award

The true paradigm shift in socially and environmentally responsible trade and living will be played out by the next two generations. There can therefore be few more important jobs today for parents, mentors and teachers than equipping children to enable and enjoy a universally more equitable life. This award is to recognise and celebrate individuals and organisations doing genuinely great work in this area.
